Established in 1907, the zoo is set against the backdrop of Sequoia Park and its magnificent redwood forest. The zoo is home to a wide variety of animals and exhibits that include a walk-through aviary with a variety of bird species in free flight, "The Barnyard" with contact corral, bear, flamingos, spider monkeys, the "Secrets of the Forest" exhibit showcasing native reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates and more. There is also the Gift Shop for that special Sequoia Park Zoo keepsake, and the top of the line Zoo Café. The Zoo is open Tuesday to Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Closing times vary by season.
